The Robert Hunt Library holds more than 100,000 photographic images in colour and black-and-white. The library specialises in military history (from the Anglo-Boer War to the Vietnam conflict), countries and 20th century people and events. The library holds more than 20,000 images from World War I and World War II alone, many of them rare and previously unseen. Originally from the Black Star UK collection, our images of personalities cover figures from politicians to showbiz celebrities and members of the British royal family. Please note that these images may not be used in any form without prior permission. All our low-res images have been digitally watermarked. The online collection is expanding, and we also hold many images non-digitally.
